Coated Headers?

I'm getting some SLP headers and I am not sure if I should get them coated. I read somewhere that since they are stainless steel they do not need coating. Any advice??

welp, i suggest getting them coated anyways, not for rust protection, but for two other reasons. the coating will keep them looking better, as the stainless will turn a brownish color. the other reason is the heat, keeping the heat in the headers, and not outside them, makes make hp, and keeps the engine bay temps down. i suggest getting them coated.

Thanks for the advice. The better transfer of heat out of the engine bay is good enough for me to drop the extra $$$ on the coating.
