Cat Debate
Cat Debate
Ok, I want to get a Flowmaster muffler for my car. From what I've heard, Flowmasters only produce the "tinny metallic" sound when you have a gutted cat or no cat at all. A stock cat or a high-flow cat supposedly makes it sound A LOT better. Has anybody had any experience running a Flowmaster before and after taking off/gutting the cat? Also, is the Dynomax 3" high-flow cat any good? Thanks.

if you want to run no cats, borla sounds sweet w/ no cat. theyre assembly line sucks though so it might not hang up strait, (I am on a mission to put borla out of business until they fix my system for free) there's a 304 stainless system from SLP looks like twin glass packs in the rear,I bet thats somthin else, expensive though!!

I have a Flowmaster and later switched to headers and a high-flow cat. No real difference in sound before or after other than than "tinging" sound that headers make.
My Flowmaster sounded more deep and booming. Most people ask if I have a 383 in my car because of the deepness of the sound.
