muffler comparison
I drive a 1986 Pontiac Firebird with a Goodwrench 350, TH 350, B&M shifter and cross flow Flowmaster. I need more sound. I'm looking at the 40 series Flowmaster or the Hooker Aerochamber. However, I do not want something that's going to drive me crazy from the interior of the car. The problem is I haven't heard either of them. Can someone help me get some sound.

While you're looking at mufflers, check out the Edelbrock RPM Series muffler. The Edelbrock website even has audio clips of various small block sounds using the muffler.
I've got one on my ghetto-cruiser (Olds 88 w/307) and it sounds really good! Only in a very narrow RPM range does it make itself known. On the highway, it's as quiet as a stocker on the inside.
