The ULTIMATE V6 Exhaust...........tell me what you think
The ULTIMATE V6 Exhaust...........tell me what you think
Well this is obviously going to be quite aways away from doing but it will get done. Getting these damn headers that I have to be able to get the EGR valve mounted on is going to be a pain in the a$$ & then coated will take even more time but oh well, I've got time & I'm in no hurry.
1) Hooker Headers (Ceramic coated in & out)
2) New Aluminum exhaust piping brought out to 2.5"
3) A cut out placed right before the CAT
4) New highflow CATCO CAT 2.5"
5) Fire blowing exhaust (how the heck can I do this, anybody??????? I really want to know & I will be taking all the precautions necessary so I don't melt my rear bumper)
6) Flowmaster 80 series (already installed)
I think that is it, any more ideas, suggestions, changes, etc??????? Thanx

as for the fire breathing exhaust, a friend of mine was going to buy a supped up chevelle a few years back and he was telling me that with a flip of a switch he could blow flames out the tail pipes. i asked how it worked and he said all it takes is to mount a spark plug at the end of the exhaust pipe, then he could trigger the spark inside the car and it would ignite the exhaust....makes sense to me....hope this helps
This is what my exhaust shop mechanic told me on how to do this (this was about 5 months ago I think).
1) Get a coil
2) 2 Spark Plugs
3) A toggle switch
That's it, he said once you step off the gas the unburned gas will remain for a little bit and then you hit the toggle switch & that activates the coil to light the plugs and boom Fire Breathing exhaust. But how the hell do you mount spark plugs in your pipes and run a coil wire to the plugs so that they don't melt and so that you don't have an exhaust leak, also and how to mount them in the pipe? These are all questions that have been bugging the $hit out of me.

I refuse to condone you doing this yourself but I will still be of any assistance I can be. You should be able to run the wire pretty far away from the exhaust and then connect it to a spark plug boot, if you get a high temp one, it will not melt. As for mounting the spark plugs you will have to get some kind of rubber grommet. make a hole in the tail pipe so that it fits around the outside edge of the grommet and make sure the inner dimeter of the grommet will hold the spark plug very, very tightly. Your only other option is to weld them in somehow.
