just got headers...need to remove smog pump

I just bought the hooker shorties from jegs. They don't have the air injection so I'm planning to remove the smog pump and all the equipment. Is it pretty straightforward in removing everything? Just taking out the pump and belts. Are there any other hookups or mods that I have to consider? Also what's the best way to put in headers? I'm a college student so complex tools are not accessible.

ALSO, If anyone knows a place that'll install the headers for a pretty good price in the bay or sacramento area. Could you let me know. thanks.

Check out the Tech section. Good article on belt routing after removing the AIR pump.
Very easy to do.

I just read it and it is not that helpful. It just says to buy new belts. That is basically it.

Take the plastic over off the AIR diverter valve, unplug the 2 connectors, take valve off by removing the 2 10mm bolts, then take off the tube that goes from there to the pump (13mm), last of all remove pump and buy new belt to reroute thats it
