SFC and exhaust clearance...

Hey

I just bought a sent of Hotchkis SFC today. I want to know if they will be able to clear the exhaust. I will be getting Hooker Headers (2055s) with the Y pipe, and the Hooker Catback. I dont want to have to cut up the exhaust. Is everything gonna clear allright.

If anyone has this mod combo let me know how it went for u.
Thanks alot.

I don't have your brand of SFC's, but I did have to remove the back half of the converter heat shield (didn't worry me too much). Other than that, absolutely no clearance issues.

I have Hotchkis Sub-Frame Connectors and I had to have an exhaust shop custom make a y-pipe to clear the sub frames. It wasn't too big a deal, just take it to an exhaust shop that knows what they're doing and you should be alright

K Thanks. I dont want to have to get the Y Pipe that comes with the headers cut, or have to get a custom one made. Thats would suck.

Thanks alot.

If you haven't installed the Hotchkis Sub-Frame connectors yet, I would return them and check out the Spohn Sub-Frame connectors. From what everyone on here says Spohn's will clear your stock exhaust without any mods to your exhaust. Good Luck!

What exhaust system are you going to go with? I have SLP 1 3/4" headers, Random Tech converter and Hooker catback. The problem I encountered was with the Y-pipe coming into the converter. It cost me $150 bucks to have the exhaust installed and the custom work done. If you want to stick with the Hotchkis sub frame connectors, I would encourage you to check with local exhaust shops in your area to see how much it would run you

I am going to be getting the Hooker Headers (2055s) that include the Y Pipe and the Hooker Catback. I am not going to be using a cat. It seems that u all are running into problems with the cat getting in the way. I hope that I will be safe seeing how I am not going to be using that cat. But I will still look into the costs.
