single to duel cat

is this as simple as getting the correct Y-pipe (or would it become a H-pipe), then putting a T for the air pump into both cats.

Is that even legal in CA and for a 1985?

If it is easy then why doesn't everybody do it? or is a hi-flow single cat just as good?

Thoughts/opinions

I think a hi flo 3" single cat would be fine.

I agrees...

Technically it is illegal to go to a duel setup. I don't think they'd care though. A single hi flow 3" is just as good and alot less work though.
