I smell exhaust coming inside the car while driving with windows rolled up or down - I have been driving with the windows down. Is there a method for determining the exhaust leak inside the vehicle, especially for carbon monoxide (colorless & odorless)? Please advise. Thanks.

 

Put your car on a hoist and start it raise hoist and find leaks, Usually black soot will be around the leak..............

 

put it on the hoist and put a rag in the exhaust tip you will hear and be able to feel the leak with your hand as you inspect ive done it plenty of times it works
