Does anybody know how Dynomax Trush Turbo mufflers sound. I have a pair of them with 2.5" in/out, and am thinking of putting them on my brother 76 Firebird. It has a 400 with 6X heads 2.11" intake valves. And Summit 1 5/8" headers with 2" dual pipes.

Would adding an X-pipe also be a good idea?

Right now it sounds really good with the windows down and on the gas. I currently has 2" dual pipes with glasspack, or bullet muffler. Would it be good to exit exhaust before rear axle?

An x pipe would be a good idea. It will increase hp. I don't remember how it does, but it does.

I have to love the sound of flowmasters. My dad has em on his 70 with a Ram Air III, he just had his motor built by Dan Whitmore, and it sounds like something out of hell. Well, I'll just say it sounds mean.

shouldnt be hard to get the sound of a 76 firebird...76s were turds. Modded just as good as any other fbody but stock they sucked...buddy has a 78 corvette and my 305 would outrun him :sillylol:
