Okay fellas, everytime I was driving down the road a loud *** rattle/squeaking noise was comign from the rear. Took it to a muffler shop and the catalytic converter was all busted up on the inside. Okay, no problem just replace it. My question is what are the advantages and disadvantages of removing the cat, or putting on an aftermarket converter? I know the owner of the muffler shop and he will do it for me. Also I live in MS and there is no emmissions testing going on as far as I know. What are the best catalytic converters for our car? Had any experience with MagnaFlow, Borla, SLP, anybody that makes em? Which ones will give me the most hp/torque gain? I have no idea about any of this stuff, but I don't want to screw up now only to find out what I could of had later. All suggestions are appreciated.
