Air pump removal?????????

I have just recently been given a '86 IROC Z-28. I has every possible option in the book on it.
It origionally had a 305 but now has a 350 in it, I dont believe they changed out anything on the TPI, do I need to change anything?
My main question is can I remove the smog pump w/o affecting the computer or the the TPI???
I did this to my 86 Firebird an it runs great but it is carbed(wil be coming up for sale in near future)
I will install plugs in the exhaust manifolds until I can afford headers.

Removing the smog pump wont affect the computer. You dont need to reroute the belt if its a 86 because you got the multiple v-belts.

Just take it out, and throw it in a dark corner.

*Note he said he doesn't have the original 305 in it now.

Obviously if you do have the serpentine belt you will have to replace it. I can get you the belt code if you need it, it's right in my garage

thanks guys fot the imput,I will be throwing it in a very dark corner today,
No it doesn't have a serp. belt just multi v belts,so that helps.
I am not sure what year motor it is though, I got the block numbers off the front motor boss below the alt but everyone around here says that they are not the correct ones,(on my Barracuda this is where all the eng info is,
Where should I look on this motor to tell the year?

look behind the drivers side head on the block. you are gonna need a flash light probably. once you have the numbers go to www.mortec.com and decode em - see if it really is a 350...
