Well i have the tes headers and a 3in system on my car already with a flowmaster whats the diffrence in sound flowmaster/edelbrock rpm muffler i guess i'm looking for a change in sound the flowmaster is cool but it's so everbodys got one including the cruststangs i've heard soe good things about them but at the same time i don't want my car too loud or too quite i guess basically what i'm asking is does the Edelbrock RPM series muffler have a better tone to it then the everybody FLOWMASTER?

I don't think it sounds better, theres a reason why every1 gets Flowmaster.

I have edelbrock on my car it has a nice purr to it, it isn't very loud, just a nice tone to it. I don't think it sounds at all like flowmaster and it isn't close to as loud. After a while I gutted my cat and put on edelbrock headers, now it sounds pretty loud but still not the tone of flowmaster, it has a different sound all together.
Hope that helps

Read my stuff in the sig...when the windows are shut, I can hear my expensive stereo very well, but still know I've got aftermarket exhaust...with the T-tops off and windows down, oh yeah, it's BAAAAD...pretty loud, hard to talk to people next to you under acceleration. So here's the bottom line...I find slowmaster 40s to be pretty obnoxious...of course, on the right car, it works, but Edelbrock's classy and pretty loud, and it roars nicely when revved to 4000 - but it's just sensible. Check out www.edelbrock.com for some pretty accurate sound files, just obviously missing the low end rumble. Just my input - flame away, Flowmaster guys.

it realy boils down to the kind of sound you like. flowmasters have no isulation or packing it is all baffles. the edlelbrocks have peroated tobes though a fiberglass packing. If you like the sound of flowmasters get the catback. if you think it is obnoxious get the edelbrok or something else. I heard a magnaflow setup yesterday love the way they look but did not like the sound. go to www.macprod.com they have a pretty sweet cat back. I would like to hear one though. if you want something loud the edlebrock will not suit you. if you want looks but not to loud I bet the mac would be sweet. I guess it just boils down to have you heard many mufflers? my borla catback sound like borla mufflers I have heard on other cars.

I have the Edelbrock cat back. Mine is pretty loud under accelleration, but i have headers and gutted cat. On the highway it won't give you a headache. It sounds very unique in my apinion, not a flow, not a turbo muffler, just sounds good.
happy shopping.
