well i got the catco high flow converter and dynomax exahaust system for an 85 trans am 305 TPI. It sounds really sweet down low, a bit tinny around 2300 but after that it sounds really mean. It was the first time driveing my trans am today since i bought it, man that thing has some *****. I need to adjust my TV cable though after a new tranny install. N E way just wanted to let u guys know i am VERY impressed with the exahaust and converter. Especially for the money....


BTW what could i gain with this set up on a stock 305 TPI. Only other thing is accell high performance cap/rotor and 8.8mm wires.

well it turns out that the 85 ONLY tpi cars got the wide mouth bolt on flange at the y pipe to converter conection and converter to intermediate connection so i got stuck eating 120$ on a new y pipe for an 85 TPI car. It was almost impossible to find, dealers said it was discontinued but they had the reast of the system available, go figure....i had it shipped from albany through trac auto. Them guys where the only ones with that damn y pipe.
