iv been tryin to get my cat off but no way in hell it will come off.....should i just hack saw it off???or does any1 here now an easier way to do this.... and what should i do with that tube that goes into the cat???? thanks

 

The cat gets dam hot so I wouldn't be surprized if yours is "welded" pretty good. Why don't you try heating it up with some acyetalene (torch) or something, other than that, I would take it to a shop who could get it off. I would think it would be difficult to get the cat back on if you cut it.

As far as the little air tube, you could cut it off high and reseal it with a piece of rubber hose. I'd leave it connected so its still easy to inspect.

 

use a hack saw.....I cut cut a slit in the pipe leading to the cat and then bent the slits back. Then you jsut wiggle it a lot and twist it. The air pipe came off easily once It was looser and was able to twist more.
