need help please!!!

Here it is. When i take off and start to accelerate there is a gurgling or knocking noise coming from the enging bay. It usually makes the noise when im accelerating and only when in gear. If i put it in neutral and rev the engine it sounds good. But when im accelerating it makes a loud almost like a deep gurgling sound. What can this be? Any ideas?

I doubt it's the exhaust (you're on that forum, you know).

Is it a metallic, tinny sound? I'd check your ignition timing, as I suspect you've got pinging (that your knock sensor isn't able to take out).

What causes pinging, and how would you get rid of it?

Usually bad timing, but it may be a bad knock sensor, or even the ESC module(Electronic spark control) is puking on you. I would try to re-set you timing and see if that helps any. Is the SES light on?? It won't make noise in park or neutural cause there isn't a load. I have found that even sometimes low tranny fluid can cause ping, or a bad tranny that is.

ocassionally the ses light will come on when highway driving and then go off again when stop and go driving.
