Do you like the 40 series? Have you noticed anypower gain? Does it sound good? Is it loud? I am not sure which to get the flowmaster 40 series or 80 series, I have a 88 camaro with a 305 engine. Any advice. Thanks alot.

 

Go with the 40 series it sounds incredible. As far as performance gains I don't know because I didn't have a muffler on my car when I bought it.

Two words will sum it up....Nice and Loud! It can make a 3.1L sound like a 5.0L stang at idle.

 

First, i have the 40 series on my duster and i get dirty looks by oil ladies,but get jaws dropped by others. Very nice and loud, improved throttle response and high rpm driving. As for sounding as a 5.0 there is no way in hell u can make a 3.1 with a 40 sereies muffler sound like a 5.0. Tried it sounds even gayer than stock.

unless you want a nasty single exit exaust go with the 80 series, mine is loud as hell (if i were doing true duals then i would go for the 40 series)
