I am looking at the SLP loudmouth for the 4th gen trans ams and they seem to be ever plentiful used. Will it bolt up with a little work?

thanks

All I have heard about using them is what I have read on this site, but I think it is possible. I think that the cat wont use the same bolt pattern so you will have to find a way to attatch it. I am not sure but the hangers may need to be changed also. Maybe someone who has done it can give you a bit more acurate information.

I believe SLP offer an adapter for use on 3rd gens. The 4th gen's exhaust (well the LS1's, the loudmouth was designed for the LS1) starts right after the tranny output shaft, so you'll need extra tubing to connect it to the 3rd gens location (under the passenger's side).

Try a search for 4th gen exhaust and you should find tons of stuff. Like they said before, you need to have a shop fab it up to fit your cat and to hang out back but other than that it should be fairly easy. By the way, where are these "plentiful" used loudmouths and for how much?
