I have the Flowmaster Force II on my GTA and an SLP 2OTHL on my Z28.The Flowmaster has that hillbilly truck sound. It also has ALOT of resonance at highway speeds. The SLP has that raspy , burbly , EFI'ish sound.I love the SLP.I'm probably not making any sense.Anyways I just ordered a Borla muffler to combine with the Flowmaster system.'Nuff said.

I have heard both and like the Flowmaster better. It has more of "that" sound u look for with the right application.

I have had both and the SLP sounds better and on the track the flowmaster made NO diff. over stock and the SLP gave 2 tenths 1.5mph. on a Z that I sold. But I do have the Flowmaster on my car now and It will be gone soon. Also the new Random Technology kit sound veary good.

The SLP on www.slponline.com is $349, but sometimes is on sale for $299, the flowmaster is $???.??, but I hate the sound of a flowmaster.

The SLP system is also Stainless steel.

I agree totally with Acceld Z. Flows sound like a truck with the exhaust falling off. Its also aluminum and cost close to what stainless steel exhausts do (not borla).

If you drive at all on the highway, don't even look at flowmaster, the resonance will drive you nuts. SLP has no resonance at all and it quiets up as soon as you let of the gas (so if you spot a cop while racing you just get off the gas and your car is quiet).

Performance gains are all SLP just as 91-ZZ4-Z28 said.

I have to agree with you guys. I would much rather have the flowmaster over stock, but I would Definetely want the Borla, Edelbrock, SLP, etc system before the hillbilly flows..... but after all we one a thirdgen camaro. I drove through a couple trailer parks last summer and the thirdgen camaro looked like it pretty much ruled the land. So, I try to keep my car as far from hillbilly as possible!

Dang, with a lifetime warranty, there's nothing to lose..... Might as well go with the whole SLP system, maybe theyll cut you a good deal to!

I called SLP today & they wouldn't budge from the $349 price, even tho they were selling it for $299 3 weeks ago.
