does hooker flow well?

i currently have flowmaster exaust, 80 series, 3 1/2 inch tips...to many people have flows. so i want something else, i've heard good things about hooker catback, but does it flow good or no? i know flowmasters are horrible, so i'm stuck between hooker and borla, hooker for the sound and borla for performance, one more thing...what would be louder with no cat, hooker or borla with the wide open plate??? and would either of them be louder than my flows?

Yeah, I really want to know about the hooker catback, ive only seen go things about. I have Ceramic LPE headers, and a ceramic 3" LPE Y pipe that goes to a 3" high flow catco. I need a cat back now. I hear good things about the hookers... but i really like the Edelbrocks becuase they have a lifttime warranty. Are the Edels or Hookers a 3" catback.

I had flows on my 67 when I first got it running, may as well been open headers (big block 4" dual exhaust) . So I got some Hooker aerochambers (the long ones 20" - I think) The car is a lot quieter now, for what it is. I know its way diff. from a 3rdgen but the hookers made it quieter - should work same on 3rdgen. They are made well, my huge exhaust sometimes scrapes the ground, the hookers get scrapped up, but are holding up well. Solid construction!

Oh yea, they flow great, the throttle response is great, atleast as good as the flows. They sure havent slowed the car down, and make great power - love'em.

Hey Red, I checked out that site. That ticks me off. I bought a Dynomax system, but was considering the Hooker kit cause it was just a little more money, and EVERYONE has Flowmaster. I chose the Dynomax mainly due to price but now I regret it. Not the Dynomax is bad, but Hookers seem to be better.

I've always heard Hooker advertise that their mufflers make more torque and HP than an open pipe due to the scavenging incorporated into their mufflers. Well that's a brilliant idea. Make a muffler that does what a header does. Obviously they did it well.
