My first exhaust upgrade?
I have a 92 RS TBI, not that loud stock right now. I want an affordable upgrade for it and still keep stock cat. What should i do first. Any certain brand name items that are popular for camaros? and after 1st upgrade, what should be next? any help is appreciated.
Almost all the brands are pretty much the same. The only differences with some of the more expensive ones are being available in stainless steel, or being able to tune it with blockoff plates (SuperTrapp, Borla).
Generally if you want a real quiet ride, Walker/Dynomax or Cherry Bombs are the way to go, although Cherry Bombs actually hurt your flow. If you want loud, most people go with Flowmaster. Then the rest of the brands fall in between, but they're all basically the same.
Get the catback, then get headers, and do a high-flow cat at the same time. Don't forget the intake upgrades to balance it out.

I would suggest a cat-back system from Hooker, Edelbrock, or Flowmaster. They all cost about the same (less than $300) and work great!
