i believe the flowmaster is a bit more pricier at like $315 and the edelbrock at like $260. for the sound i would go a loud flowmaster for quiet idle and howling at wot get edelbrock. if you gut the cats it will sound REALLY pretty.

Edelbrock = sweet

Not white trash usually, white trash when you want it to be, classy, can hear your $$$$ stereo when you want to - get this, a gf of a die-hard Bustang guy just broke up with him, and a couple of days ago she told me she thought my car sounded really great...but she was never at liberty to say so because her bf was all about blowmaster-equipped mudstains Do a search, quite a bit about Edelbrock on this board

------------------
'89 RS LO3- 140,000 miles
14x3 K&N Open Element
Ram stock replacement clutch
Edelbrock TES (Jet-hot coated)
Catco cat
Edelbrock 3" Cat-back
KYB GR-2 Struts and Shocks
Pioneer DEH-P77
Midland 77-115 with 3' Firestik and 100 watt police PA
Dual .50 caliber machine guns just under ground effects

Coming:
Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace
Spohn subframe connectors

When your buddy reaches for a 10-pound sledge and says "I think we're gonna have to modify the floor pan, okay?" the answer is NO.

I just installed a edlebrock system last night. It has a deep rumble sound but not loud.I like it. But then again I am 45 and not into loud cars anymore. I still have the stock cat so preformance has not changed. (thats the choke point). For what it's worth my 17 year old son also likes the sound.

Everything the guys have said so far is true, but don't forget Edelbrock has a warranty, flow is no go. Edelbrock is just loud enough, I plan on adding headers later anyway.
