Oxygen sensor?????

I just recently discovered the header gasket on the passenger side blown. My question is...does a blown header gasket give the oxygen sensor a bad reading causing it to compensate...my idle goes crazy since the blown gasket. I have also noticed that my engine over heats more than it used too.

i would think that a blown gasket would mess with the reading, but they are on opposite sides, and exhaust aint flowing toward the engine
