duals with spohn torque arm

Does anyone have true duals and the spohn Torque Arm and crossmember? I recently looked at a buddy of mines car and he has the setup w/o duals and it seems like the crossmember hangs awfully low...

------------------
1987 GTA 355, carbureted, TFS heads(non G2), 6-speed, McLeod clutch, 11.3:1, dual 3" flowmaster 2-chamber exhaust with NO tailpipes, 98 z-28 wheels, soon to be replacing weak 10 bolt with 12-bolt...gettin tired of breakin axles....

...Whatever turns your tires.....

Yep, the crossmember hangs low. Unfortunately, the channel that the arm fits into is right where the exhaust would need to go IF you were trying to go over the crossmember.

If you're trying to go under it, you'd better have one of those ultra rare 4-wheel-drive Camaros with about 8" of ground clearance... <grin>

The torque arm also doesn't hug the driveshaft, so there isn't much room on that side of the driveshaft, even once you get past the crossmember...

FWIW, I'm going with shorty headers, 2 x 3" pipes Y-ed to a single 4".

Man that sucks... I will find a way. There is no way Ill ever run single exhaust again. (no offense) My car picked up way too much to go back. I wonder if channels could be cut in the x-member?

The crossmember is basically 2 angle brackets with two tubes welded between them. The dimensions change, and the location of the torque arm bracket changes, with each application. (i.e.-which tranny you have).

You 'might' be able to cut the tubes and the t/a bracket off to weld in a "sleeve" that the exhaust could fit through, and weld it back together... Not sure how it'd work though.
