flowmaster 80 series or 40 series? which is better?

i went and ordered my exhaust a few days ago(gets installed august 7th.) but anyway. the local exhaust shop is going to put on a catco high flow cat,3" intermediate pipe,2chamber 40 series flowmaster, and two 3" tailpipes. i heard that the 40 series is the loudest, so i wanted to ask everyone here. i had the 80 series on my v6 a while ago and it backfired a lot and seemed kinda hollow. so this time i got the 40 series for the 305. is the 40 series louder? i want it to be really loud. i know it will be louder once i get the headers put on, but right now how do u think it will sound?

I just put on an 80 series flowmaster. It's pretty loud. I have heard that 40 series is the loudest also, but the reason I chose the 80 is the written specs. 80 series is designed for are car and Flowmaster claims that it adds 30hp and 40lb torqe at nice RPM ranges. So if you want a for sure purchase go with the 80.

HA HA! Sticker-Charge it like the rice boys. Flowmaster claims 15-25 horses depending on the application. I've got a 40 series on my car and it sound sweet through the whole RPM range. Loud, too! 80 series sounds way too hollow for my tastes. makes the car sound like a truck.
