Need help on an exhaust setup

Alright here's the deal I've got a 1987 IROC 350 TPI I currently have the edelbrock RPM series catback and edelbrock TES headers on the car. They sound nice but I want something a little different. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what headers and catback exhaust i should get? I want something that sounds real loud and real mean. I was thinking of Hooker SC headers or SLP shorties and maybe a flowmaster american thunder series catback.Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

If you still have your cats on put a pipe in their place, much louder.

That would be nice but I can't do that because of emissions. I need to keep my converter. And i know the edelbrock headers are the most restrictive headers on the market. Well I know this now anyways..So changing them over to the hooker Super competitions should improve performance and sound levels.
