y pipe

hello everyone just sighned up on this board been looking at for a while. my question is does any one build a ypipe for hooker comp headers or doe any of you have pics of custom built ones?

you talking about the shorties? if so, they do.. forgot the part number, ill have to check out Summit later... but the LT's, you need to custom make one, or i belive Mufflex sells a y pipe for LT headers.. i know my friend is gettin one for his hooker LT's

yeah they are shorties iwas thinking off building one like mufflex to work with my headers just needing some ideas on how to build one i would like some pics of some long tube ypipe set up if anyone has them.

Alright, this is the 2nd post I've seen today that says Summit has a Hooker y-pipe available for 2460 Comp shorties.

I don't think so. What the Hooker website does say is Footnote 4, "Exhaust systems can also be fabricated using either Hooker Super Competition Aerochamber mufflers, Maximum Flow mufflers, or Super Competetion Turbo mufflers,... (etc.)" No mention whatsoever of a pre-fabricated y-pipe for those headers.

And it doesn't fit Hooker headers.

yeah i tried one of those a couple of years ago built my own in a hurry. looks like crap does nt flow well and cracks all the time .
i want to build one for it now using a set up like a long tube design y pipe just by welding extentions to the to fit up to my collectors. in pics from any one would be helpful. thank you five seven for looking into it for me!! im ready to get this bird rolling again!! done a lot of big mods al ready just got my tranny fixed and new stall converter in ready to go race again as soon as i get this y pipe built!!
