Dimensions/Diagram of straight pipe for cat??
I really want to make a straight pipe (offroad pipe
) for my 88 Iroc Z it has the 3" pipe....... I want to know how long to make it, it will be 3" wide, what to weld on the end to make it fit in there..... were to weld the oxygen tube in etc..... i just really need a diagram...

I built my strait pipe out of a set of slip-over header collector extensions from JEG'S (part number 520-11330) It comes with two 18-inch pipes, each with one slip over end. The pipe has to be at over 18-inches long to slip over and fill the gap, so I cut 8 inches off the non-slip over end of one extension, and 10 inches off the slip over end of the other, then welded them together. This way both ends are enlarged so they will slip over your y-pipe and intermediate pipe. Wow, that really sounds confusing.
