What kind of Cat do I need?

Hey guys...What measurement is the inlet on my cat. converter? I will be adding a Flowmaster 40 series dual outlet muffler on my car, and it has a 3 inch inlet. Catco makes various converter with 3 inch outlets, but i need to know what size of inlet i need in order to not have any problems putting it on my car.

I have a 91 lo3 and I'm sure the cats are the same size if it's a single cat.
My inlet is 2 1/4" and the outlet is a 2 1/2". Go with Random Technology. Best quality and Flows the best costs $279. shipped with installation kit (stainless steel brackets and bolts).

don't waste your money on random tech, buy a catco high flow or dynomax super converter. these offer almost no flow restriction and are only around $100. Buy a 3" so you can have 3" exhaust all the way later. Take the old cat off and take your car to the muffler shop and have them put in a dapters to fit the 3" cat on the 2.25 converter. Or you could just get one adapter(on the inlet side) and with the money you saved by not buying random tech buy a dynomax 3" catback exhaust system, only $135 from jcwhitney(it's called super turbo system). Email me if you need more info,
