Is 3" enough???

Is 3" enough???

I am going to rebuild my engine soon and i was curious if a single 3" pipe is sufficient for a 383 thats putting out 400-450 hp? Any input would be appreciated

I think with that much HP you need at least 3.5" maybe even 4".

My last 383 was right in that range (edlebrock rpm package). The 3" is fine for a daily driver. For the track maybe run a cut-out.
