Would you pass emmisions if...
I was just thinking... There is no visual inspection here... If you put an exhuast cutout in front of the cat, and left it open.. They put the hoses on the tailpipes.. if you have no Egr, could you pass emmisions or are there certain things that you have to have a certain amount of?
Does anyone understand what i'm saying?
(kinda like 'fake' exhaust?)

I would assume the noise would give you away.
If not, they'd probably check to see why they were getting zero readings.
As a point of reference, I went for the emissions check two days ago, and they stopped the test because my radiator fan didn't come on and it was getting too hot. They gave me a sheet explaining why they couldn't do the test, with "overheating" checked: among the other choices were "Exhaust system defective: exhaust system incomplete; sample dilution (possible breaks in pipes); tailpipe not accessible."
Summary - dream on.
