Ok heres the problem. I have Edelbrock TES headers and catback. They keep burning up the donut steel gaskets. Edelbrock replacements are 15 bucks and I'm burning them out about every month or 2. The local shop recommended I go smaller tips or more restrictive muffler to hold even more backpressure. I personally think I have enough backpressure already. Any ideas on what I need to do?

Most of the time, constant exhaust gasket
burning is caused by incorrect air/fuel ratio, can be too rich or too lean.
Fuel burning in the exhaust, believe it or not. Check out the sanderson headers internet
site for info. Back pressure has nothing to do with it.

Thanks. I'll throw on another pair and have it put on a timing light too.
