Hedman Y pipe to cat
The Y pipe (#17470) for Hedman shorty headers -- does it end in 3"? If not, could I easily adapt it to attach to a 3" (in&out) cat? What size cat and what kind of adaptor (something I could get at a local parts store?) would I need?
Also, are the non-AIR Hedmans (#68470) ready for an O2 sensor to plug in, or would I be drilling this myself?
[Sorry to bug everyone... sales reps don't know ***t sometimes, so I wanted to check with people who do]

I have those same parts on my SC. The y-pipe outlet is 2½" but they include an adapter and clamps to hook up to a 3" system. The headers will have to be drilled and a bung welded in place.

Did you do the drilling/welding yourself? If so, how hard was it? Where did you get the O2 sensor bung?
If not, how much did it cost you to have it done?
I don't have the gear or the knowhow to do the welding part...

I just showed up to the exhaust shop with the bung and they drilled and welded it for me. I don't know how much that part was, but it wasn't anything compared to the labor for fabbing a custom exhaust.

Would the 2.5" to 3" adapter on the y-pipe be a very big restriction?
