Dual inlet oulet muffler

If you had two seperate 2.5" pipes from the header's to two 2.5" cat's on each side of the car to a dr.gas x-pipe into a magnaflow dual inlet dual oulet muffler is it still considered true duals? and even it isn't what would the performance gains be like if you but this setup on a 250 hp 350, with the facotry exhaust. any thoughts would be appreciated.

Probably would flow fine.......but I doubt the muffler is truly like "dual" mufflers. JUst 2 into and 2 out of,although the rest of the system sounds free-flowing.

Team,
Let me tell you from witnessing this set up, it kicks!! Just ask ProCharge on this site, there is this guy who owns a Iroc who has a motor that can hit 10's and that's what he's running, except it's into a Flowmaster. It's not aggressive loud but it's a great system.

Thanks for the comments guys, anything pertaining to "true duals" usually gets assualted in here does anyone what those kinds off mufflers flow like?

also the magnaflow is stainless steel and it is 24" long pipe to pipe and the muffler body itself is 18" which is about the same size as our factory mufflers I believe

Edelbrock has one too, pn #5512, if you do it let me know how it works out. The Edelbrock is only about 1/2" longer than ours so it may work.
