Flowtech headers.......

If these are indeed Flowtech headers are they overall an improvement over Edelbrocks TES headers? Anyone have them with no complaints? Does Flowtech sell a Y pipe or will a custom one have to be used????? thanx

I have no complaints about fit for the flowtechs,,,,but there ypipe could be designed better (yes they do sell one)......but they all fit nice and I like the new higher rpms sounds I get from them comapred to the stock manifolds. Im not sure what they compared too cause Ive never used any other kinds. But they were the cheapest ones I could buy I think and Im not dissapointed at all for what they are worth!

Flowtech = 1 1/2 primaries
Edelbrock= 1 5/8 primaries

Just thought I'd point that out.

I'd stay with the edels.

the flowtech's i bought from jegs last year look kind of simular but there 1 5/8. not bad for the price and considering im on a budget.they sound real good when all the exaust you have is your headers. my daily driver fuel pump gave out 6 months ago and had to start up the old bird and drive a 135 mile round trip.sounds good when you open it up.

I'm much happier with my Flowtech's than my Edelbrock's. Much better quality. Just because it costs more doesn't mean it's better. Also I measured the primaries of both headers and they both came out to 1-1/2" I.D. Don't know why the advertisments say otherwise.

From my personal experience with BOTH (read that both not just one or the other) I'd go with the Flowtechs.
