Anyone ever think of doing this?

Any1 of think of using the rear section off of the corvettes to make true duals work on our cars? There are many different muffler setups that the companies make, im sure one of them has to fit, all we would have to do is get pipes to run to the back over the axle....am i right or wrong?

BTW, when i say rear section i mean rear exhaust section, not the IRS rear end

umm the rear end of the vette is a IRS where as we have a solid axle.. i think thats what you mean. No one has made something to hook up a vettes IRS with the fbody frame right now, and it would be pretty hard to do if you ask me. there has been true duals made on this site using different setups.. just GM was to frickin lazy to do it.

no, i dont mean that at all, lol, that would be too hard for me right now. What i meant was the rear part of the exhaust setup, the mufflers and tips, to use that as the rear section of a dual exhaust setup, is that better explanation or no? i can maybe try better if needed

I originally wanted the rear Corvette exhaust from Pacestter. I called them for dimention info and found that the casing was to wide (I believe in the 8" dia range) and long (something like 22" intlet to tips) to fit the rear area and, the muffler inlets were only 2¼". I didn't really want to pay $200 for it anyways though but, figured it was free to at least inquire.
