cats

I live in NY where there is low emission testing, they basically see if you have pollution control, but do not test it.

on to my question.

Im having dual exhaust pipes custom made tomorrow for my mufflers, Im having the mufflers fit right where the cat would be on each side of the car and having the pipe go out the back.

I know it won't pass inspection without a cat, so my question is, Is it ok to put a cat after the muffler? cause IF so I will just put a straight pipe through the cat.

thanks

No, it has to be in the stock location to pass a visual inspection.

How are you going to run duals out the back? For you to run duals wouldn't you have to dump it before the rear? Or do a setup like a few others on here with both running next to each other?

I should prolly take a pic of how they did it
they had each pipe come down with the tranny and run parrallel down the back and right before the 2nd universal joint at the rear axle it dumps out, they both have the same back end pressure also kinda nice.
