catalytic converter?
howdy fellas,
I just bought a '90 Formula, but to get it registered, I need to visit the smog *****. I took a look, and found to my chagrin that where the catalytic once was, a length of pipe now sits.
Now the questions: Does the AIR tube attach before the cat - can I just weld the pipe in anywhere upstream?
Second, I think I'll be leaving the cat in. Here in so-cal it seems easier that way. What's a good deal on a high flow catalytic?
Thanks!

The A.I.R. tube attaches to the cat.
Catco makes decent stuff. I think most are made by Walker, anyway, regardless of the name on the box.
