I've experimented a little bit with true duals. The setup I have now consists of Hooker 2460 comp headers going to 3" Hooker Aerochambers mounted towards the outside of the car and then the pipes exit before the rear wheels. I'm switching to a longtube setup soon here (couple of weeks) with 3" Moroso spiral flow mufflers.

You can have it exit at the rear, but the problem is that it has to go over the axle (or under) on the passenger side (no room on the driver's side). I think you can olny fit 2 2.5" pipes over the axle and that's squeezing it, however I don't know what you could do with oval pipe, I imagine you would have more room.

Two 3" pipes here. Could go 3.5" if you are careful.
