Now that i have removed my AIR tubes from the exhaust since Im going to be installing non-air headers,,,what else do I not need to use....I am not going to put the EGR valve back in either...what else can I delete?

you can take out the black canister and put a filter on the end of the tube, but do not cap it. Also, since you are not going to have an egr you need to remove it in the chip.

 

Take out the black canister? did the AIR tbes use that? what do you mean put a filter on the tube? theres alot of tubes and lines coming off the canister...

That canister is to purge the fuel system. I would leave most of that intact if possible. you can now remove the emissions pump, and all the lines that connect to the air tubes. I would also leave the EGR system intact too, but that is my preference.

Don't confuse me with 25THRS either, as we may have the same avatar, but not the same thoughts or knowledge..J/K

 

Ive already removed the smog pump and ALL the tubes that went to it...even the one that circled behind the intake manifold...that was a pain to get out... anyways, I thought the EGR is only used for a spilt second and then after that its not used again...once I get a chip made I can delete it from there...haveing removed it cleans up under the plenum....I like that....

Purge the fuel system, is that needed? that just has to do with fumes, right?

 

Yeah for the most part, but it relieves pressure on the tank too.
