cutout question

I am looking to install some cutouts on both sides of the y pipe, and I have shorty headers right now. I was wondering if I will be making more power if i put on the long tube headers and keep the cutouts in the same place, or if I would be better off just keeping the shorties and having the cutouts. Anything else i need to know? I want the most power possible. Thanks!

Ofcourse longtubes will give you the most power, but there are certain drawbacks like clearance issues, fitment, etc. If all you are concerned with is power, get longtubes.

Thank you for the response ... so to make sure I am clear ...

long tubes + cutouts at the y pipe > shorties + cutouts at the y pipe.
