Indentifying a flowmaster muffler

Is there any way to indentify a flowmaster muffler. I just bought one off of my friend for $20. It only has about 4,000 miles on it is a good deal. It also comes with tailpipes and tips. He said he forgot which one it is. He only knows that it is a 3 chamber muffler.

2 tailpipes on the opposite sides = 80 Series. (2 chamber)

Is the 80 series very loud? I think I have a baffel loose in my muffler (1984 L69).

Mine is pretty loud. It doesnt exactly scream either though. On a scale of 1-10 on loudness, I'd give it a 6-7.

On the american thunder series catback for third gens the 80 series muffler is 3 inch in and dual 3 inch out correct? If you just buy a regular 80 series muffler is it the same or is it 3 inch in dual 2.5 inch out?

I believe you can buy either one without the rest of the exhaust.

Mine is a 3" in 2.5 out and its pretty darn loud.

I bought just the 80 series muffler and its 2 1/4" in 2 1/4" out. Upgrading to 3" pipes shortly. Should I notice any difference in performance/sound?

I think you can only buy the system with the 3" in, 3" out. The previous owner of my car just bought the muffler (3" in, 2.5" out) and then put a 3" madrel bent pipe in. I have no idea what the pipe is from
