got a set of 40 series flowmasters...

Right now im running flowtech-raptors, because they were CHEAP!...

but i just picked up 2 flowmaster 40 series, 3" in and out... And i was considering using them since my engine was out anyways..

i like the way the car sounds now, its pretty quiet but sort of sounds mopar-ish when i step on it. weird sound for a SBC...

Now i sort of like my cruising noise level... there really is non! im afraid if i put these 40 series im going to wind up with a freaking annoying cruise noise which i most def DONT want. but i like the thought of a true 40 series sound, which i must admit does sound pretty decent. I am going to wind up with a stealthram and a solid roller 234/244 cam, so its not like the motor doesnt NEED this sort of thing...

Dude, I think I have the same mufflers you have now! The are flowtech and I'm pretty sure they're raptors, or may warlock mufflers, but they sound just like what you're describing. The car is still loud, but it's nothing to what similar cars like mine sound withe the 40 series flmasters. They are awful at cruising speeds. The do sound the best at WOT, but if you're like me, which is kind of what I got from your post, don't get the FM's. Do some reasearch on what sounds good, I know the Dynomax mufflers will fit my noise preferences. I'm going on 25 and my taste in mufflers has definitely changed in five years. I don't like that loud-all-the-time-$hit anymore.

delta flow

The flowmaster delta flow mufflers are available in the 40 series and sound the same on the outside of the car as the regular 40 series except the inside the car volume has been drastically reduced. (and they are cheaper than regular 40 series mufflers too through summit)
