Great, now what?

Well, i am putting my rebuilt engine back into my 88 firebird and i went with some slp 1 5/8 headers and y pipe, while bolting it all up, i accidentally stripped one of the captive nuts on the drivers side flange, any advice on how to remedy this situation? Would a helicoil work? i would really rather NOT take off the header as it is pretty accessible from underneath the car, and i dont want to have to fuss with pulling it out to work on it. Is there a way to just remove the entire nut, and replace it?

Thanks,
Mike

What do you mean by captive nuts? There shouldn't be any bolts attached to any set of headers. You need about 3/8" for a heli coil to seat right. Maybe go to the next thread size up.
