Dual to single cat

I want to get the hooker 2055's but have dual cats so i was wondering if it is worth it and how i would go about switching to a single high flow cat. And i've heard its not legal to do that but emissions is not too strict where i live so i dont care about that. I want a catco cat because i can get a good deal on one. does anyone know the part# for the direct bolt in version for single cat cars.

Thanks in advance

The only work is buying a set of headers with a y pipe, a 3" cat and a 3" catback. They will all go together.

Just make sure that you buy everything for a 350 TPI car. That way it comes 3" without any reducers. The only fab work you may need is if your headers have a 2.5" y-pipe. If that is the case you will need to attached a reducer. Also depending on what cat you go with you may have to cut your i pipe or y pipe a bit to get it to match the length of the cat. You can always buy a 3" cat made to directly fit this particualr setup but they are costly. And as for performance, a sinlge 3" will outflow a stock dual set-up. A sinlge 3" exhaust, including the cat, can suuport 400rwhp. You will have a great set-up with plenty of clearance for subframes.
