Eric, so when I call Rick(is that you--eRIC?), he orders it, it gets shipped to Performance Audio, and I pick it up there, Colton? Or would I be picking it up from Mac, which is in Temecula, isn't it? And how much notice would be needed?

As far as a pick up will go, after you place the order, it will be shipped from MAC (in Temecula, correct) to Performance Audio in Colton, however, you will NOT have to be responsible for any shipping costs (obviously), but you will be subject to sales tax (which is less than shipping this stuff anyway)
Once the equipment arrives you will be notified that it is there and available and you can set up a time to pick it up. If an item is on back order, you have the option of picking it up as it comes, or picking it up all at once, the choice is totally up to you. Usually MAC is pretty good about making production runs and keeping up with demand (I went with my dad to take a tour of MAC, and it is a really interesting place), but sometimes backorders do occur, but rest assured that you will get your equipment.
Thanks,
Eric

I must be the rare exception then
Ordered cat-back on 2-6-04 and it was on backorder....still hasnt shipped and its now 2-21-04. Take the fact its a weekend, and start Monday, its been 2-6 to 2-23, about 17 days so far, IF it even ships on Monday.
At least my Headers shipped within one day of purchase

as to your cat-back, I beleive the guy at MAC said it should ship out beginning of the week, but you can rest assured that you will get your equipment from us (we just have to wait for MAC).
I know your situation, I've been in it also, except this place never shipped for 3 months and I eventually got scammed out of $100

As I stated earlier, they were in the process of a name change and it has finalized and the new name is DB Dragster. Along with this name change, they have made up an online order page to facilitate ordering and cut down on the phone tag
Anyway, the order form is totally SSL secure and very easy to use. You may still call in your order or fax it, but this is available to those that were interested in it.

Thanks!

Hey Eric, I picked-up my Y-pipe from your dad's company today. It's a very nice pipe!!! I can't wait to get it on.
My budget wouldn't allow for the headers, but that's cool cause I decided I wanted to keep it looking stock under the hood. Headers aren't for me. But I love the Y-pipe, and I'd have needed to replace that someday anyway.
This is something most of us will have to replace someday, and this Y-pipe for a stock replacement seems like it's the best available. I'd think, hope, more people would jump on it!
I just emailed your dad to thank him. Thanks to you also for advertising it here.

Good to hear that you were pleased with it! Go figure, a Y-Pipe is ready in 2 days, and MAC is still backordered on off-road pipes
Anyway, be sure to tell your friends or anyone else if they are interested, and to everyone still waiting for a back order, I do apologize for it.
BTW all, MAC concentrates on Mustang parts mostly, so the Camaro parts, although still great MAC quality and pricing, is put on the back-burner for Mustangs.

Ok Eric, I FINALLY put on the Y-pipe. Its a very tight fit! It's even tighter than the stock pipe, so it was a bit of a struggle--especially with no extra hands helping out and laying under the car with the pipe about 6" over my face, lol! But it's on, and it looks very nice. I WANT A CAR LIFT!!!
But it left me in a "situation." It's too big for my cat! Actually, it's a true 3" like it's supposed to be. But my stock cat's inlet, which is also supposed to be 3", is actually only about 2 29/32"!
I tried expanding the inlet, and it broke the expanding tool before it got big enough, lol. It's about 2 15/16" now, and it won't go any larger. There's not enough movement in the system to allow them to be end-to-end and band clamped, so I'm stuck at the moment.
But I got a new cat, and I'm making some progress, so I hope to get it out of the garage soon--tomorrow, hopefully.
But man, I was pretty close to calling "dad" and saying, THIS PIPE DOESN'T FIT!

LAFireBoyd - haha, good to hear it finally got on and working great
I hear ya on that cat issue - i tried to use my stocker, but ended up having to buy a different cat to work with the larger piping as well
89rsSTL - unfortunately no word as of yet. MAC concentrates on Mustang stuff, and the Camaro parts usually take a backburner in favor of Stang stuff on teh production line. My dad is notified via E-Mail as soon as equipment ships out, and the Camaro stuff is starting to come through, so as soon as they get notified, you will be sent the e-mail with your UPS tracking number and everything. Don't feel like you're the only one waiting; we've got a few mroe waiting on 3rd gen parts, and one guy waiting on his cat-back for his LT1. It will be shipped out, it just takes a bit longer
Thanks guys!
Eric

Hey i know how u feel 89rs about the backorder. I ordered a MAC cat-back in beg of Feb, and eventually cancelled hoping to get it somewhere else. Well i ordered from someone else about 3 weeks ago, but they too are backordered on the MAC exhaust till the beg of May!
Because of these backorders, ive given up on MAC, and decided to get Hooker from Jegs, so i should have it this week, hopefully.
