elec. or cable cutouts

What are the pro's and con's of both.

I am really considering getting a cable one (mainle b/c of the price) but have read that they rattle. So I just wanted to know other peoples opinions.

How good do these sound on stock manifolds?

arent the cable cut-outs only available in 2"? I was gonna go the cable route but if you search long enough you can find someone who has one or two(electric cut-outs) that are used and they are selling them for cheap.
Why on factory manifolds what little gain you might see wouldnt be worth the time and money you spend getting it installed. the factory manifolds are very restrictive. save money and buy headers then buy your cut-out(s). if all your after is sound a Flowmaster or Aerochamber muffler, or race bullets will make up the difference.

I have an electric one on my car and I love it. It doesn't leak, rattle or any of that crap, and it was pretty cheap. If you want a cut-out, don't buy the cable ones. Start off with a FlowTech Race Ready (or similar) cut-out. They are the ones with the 3 wing nuts and block off plate. Then when you are ready for remote control, but the McCord Power Plate for $105, bolt it on and go.
