Mandrel-Bent Performance Advantage? Survey

Any opinions on the performance advantages of Mandrel-Bent Tubing over OEM?
Take a minute to fill out a survey at: http://www.mcs-la.com/survey.html

The results will be shared with aftermarket manufacturers and installers in an exhaust industry pub.

If you have specific thoughts not covered by the survey, I'd like to here about them.

Thanks.

It's nots opinion its fact. I didn't read the survey but I don't see the need to even look at it. OEM tunbing has bends and crinkles in it that create turbulence and inconsistant tubing diameter. Just pick up any science book and look at mass flow rate.

Well I looked at that survey and it is pointless. You cannot accurately answer any of those questions. All types of vehicles perform better with it and the performance numbers are based on motor specs and size.

Shifty, you're right about the survy being inherently flawed. I may have over-simplified it to make it work for the whole industry. I'm trying to uncover trends among groups such as:

Do mfg's and editors think alike, or are the mfg's overly optimistic?
Do installers refute all the published dyno results because they can only crimp-bend inhouse and they don't like cat-backs?
Do enthusiasts tend to share views with mfg's, editors or any other group?

I hope you'll reconsider taking the survey, and feel free to skip any part that seems pointless.

Thanks.

Ok I see where you are getting at. The aftermarket and industry combined reconise the advantages of madrel bent piping. Most newer cars are actually coming out with large sections of their exhaust mandrel bent. It's not that they deny the dyno facts it is the cost. Regulal old tubing is far cheaper and faster to make than mandrel stuff. Plus we only make up a fraction of the auto owning population that actualy reconise the performance aspect and need fo mandrel bends. Most people just want the car to go. That is why there is a HUGE aftermarket for auto stuf that takes away the cheap mast produced stuff in favor of beter parts for ones car. I will re-look at the survey.
