Dynomax header air tubes
I purchased a set of these off of ebay. The air tubes go more than half way into the tube. Am i losing performance by having them in there like that? Are engineered this way for some paticular reason? Can I just cut them flush with the inside if the header tube and still have them work properly? I bought headers for more flow, I can see the tubes being a major turbulance bring that way. Anyone got an answer?

my edelbrock headers do that, but i cut and ground down the AIR tubes on top. Also has anyone did this before, i was just wondering how i could close the holes to make them look normal. i was thinking of welding them closed or pinching off the small tube piece off inside the header so the 4 holes are closed. any info on how to close these holes permanently would be greatly appreciated. thanks alot...
