I have magnaflow on my car, and i got a pretty good power boost out of it. I haven't put my headman shorties on yet, but I know they are good. I'm getting my jet hot coated. But personally I think Magnaflow sounds deep and throaty on my 5.7

Another item you may want to take in account while looking for a exhaust set up, would be your location. I would go with stainless steel since you live in Wisconsin. I lived in Washington State a few years ago and had Flowmaster muffler which only lasted 2 years before it rusted out on me. Purchased a Borla exhuast after that I still have it but it now resides in my 92 RS. This exhaust has been with me since 1993.

I was really into the borla for a while, however just too many people had fitment problems and for $650...There just should not be any!!!! I decided to go with the hooker cat-back. Most of the muffler is Stainless, the piping is aluminum and the tips are chrome...not bad for $207
