Help installing SLP 1 5/8" w/ A.I.R. headers
Im throwing them on my lt1 and they bolt up fine. However SLP headers have those damn bolt guides on both sides, one in the front and one in the middle. I solved this for 3 of the guides by using the old exhaust manifold bolts and spacers.
However the middle passenger side guide is too damn long. I seriously want to smack the **** out of whoever at SLP designed these like this because no bolt head I have even fits trhough the guides.
I even called slp and asked if they used special bolts and they said their standard 3/8 x 1" bolts, nothing special and told him there is no way in hell I can get that bolt through that guide and his answer was to go one thread at a time. The damn guide is almost 1 & 1/2 times longer than the bolt, what the hell is he talking about.
Im seriously considering pulling out my dremel and getting rid of this crappy design flaw.
